The YMCA is pleased to be collaborating with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to develop child centres prioritizing child care for Health Care Professionals. Details on the number of spaces, waiting list registration, and opening dates will follow. More information will become available and will be posted on our website and social media pages, once the licensing process has been completed.

The YMCA is the largest provider of non-profit licensed child care in Canada. YMCA Child Care & Camp programs support families and foster the healthy growth and development of children. Our programs help children to build self-confidence, learn healthy behaviours, and develop strong values.
Based on the YMCA Playing to Learn emergent curriculum our all-day child care program is licensed by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Operating hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm.
The full-day programs include morning and afternoon snacks, and a hot lunch.
Programs run five days per week year-round and are closed for statutory holidays. All programs are full-time (five days per week). All registrants are subject to a non-refundable registration fee upon registration.
- You must complete the Child Care Waitlist and Registration Application Form to be added to the waitlist.
- You can register for multiple site locations. Please only send in one waitlist per site location.
- You will be contacted by the Registrar when a space becomes available.
- To confirm your space please call (toll free): 1-833-966-YMCA (9622) or email provincialregistrar@nl.ymca.ca and arrange to pay the registration fee. We ask that you accept/reject the space offered within 48 hours of YMCA contact. If you reject a space offered, you can request to be added to the waitlist again for a future space. Registration fee payment methods are credit card or debit from bank account. We do not accept cash or cheque.

The Provincial Registrar is available for live calls Monday to Friday, from 8:30am-11:30am. Please leave a voicemail if line is busy. All messages will be answered within a 24-48 hour period. For all messages that are received on weekends or holidays, expect messages to be answered by the end of the following Tuesday or Wednesday.
