Avalon Region School Age Child Care
The YMCA is pleased to be collaborating with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to develop child centres prioritizing child care for Health Care Professionals. Details on the number of spaces, waiting list registration, and opening dates will follow. More information will become available and will be posted on our website and social media pages, once the licensing process has been completed.

The YMCA of Newfoundland & Labrador offers school age child care at or near various schools throughout the Avalon Region.
Children start the program at the end of their school day upon school dismissal and parents can pick children up any time before 6:00 pm. Before school care may be available at some locations.
Programs run five days per week from September to June and are closed on statutory holidays. All day care may be provided for Professional Development Days depending on location.
Registration priority is based on full time (five days per week). All registrants are subject to a non-refundable registration fee upon registration.
The Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability must be completed by all parents/guardians.

The Provincial Registrar is available for live calls Monday to Friday, from 8:30am-11:30am. Please leave a voicemail if line is busy. All voicemails will be answered within a 24-48 hour period. For all messages that are received on weekends or holidays, expect messages to be answered by the end of the following Tuesday or Wednesday.
