Y Youth Guided Employment Opportunities (YGEO)

Supporting the Needs of Youth Facing Barriers to Employment

Y Youth Guided Employment Opportunities (YGEO) helps youth ages 15 to 30 navigate the labour market and to successfully transition into employment. Participating youth will develop skills, knowledge, and networks through education and meaningful work experiences.

Y Youth Guided Employment Opportunities (YGEO) eligibility:

  • Youth ages 15 – 30 years

  • Canadian citizen

  • Permanent resident

  • Protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

Barriers often intersect and they are more likely to be among the youth population who are involuntarily not in employment, education or training (NEET).

YGEO can help.
