Join Our Team
We are seeking a Level 1 Helpdesk Technician to join our IT team. The successful candidate will act as a front-line support for our YMCA team assisting in their technology needs via phone, email or in-person. You will be responsible for creating and managing support tickets as well as installation of software and hardware systems. You will be a leader in helping educate users on best practices and better use technology for their workflow. This position is based out of our Project and Administration Office in St. John’s. There is flexibility for remote work, but the role is not fully remote. The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site regularly, with remote work available when appropriate and approved. The role may require an increased presence depending on operational needs
Job Requirements
- IT related degree or relevant work experience
- Certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+. Security+ considered an asset
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of Windows devices, software, printers, and network connectivity
- A basic understanding of IT security best practices
- Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Sector Checks are reviewed on an individual basis
