YMCA Pre-Kindergarten programs support families and foster the healthy growth and development of children. Our programs help children to build self-confidence, learn healthy behaviors, and develop strong values. Based on the YMCA Playing to Learn emergent curriculum our all-day child care program is licenced by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Regional Manager, Pre-K will be expected to monitor, assess, and continuously improve the quality of products and services as outlined by licencing standards and YMCA policies while working within a focused team environment. The goal is to challenge and motivate children by creating a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment. Support is provided to families while diligently adhering to government regulations and YMCA policies, procedures, and standards.

Job Requirements

  • ECE with Level 2 certification or higher
  • Proficiency in ActiveNet or similar (preferred)
  • Familiarity with YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum (preferred)
  • Ability to travel frequently between sites (mileage and airfare paid)
  • Experience working in early learning and school environments
  • Experience with licencing policies, regulations, and supervising staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and to do direct delivery of programs
  • Acceptable Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sectors Check
  • Current Standard First Aid
