Join Our Team

The YMCA of Newfoundland & Labrador offers a summer camp through our Ches Penny Family location. We are a seeking full-time Lifeguards (35 hours per week) to join our day camp team and ensure a safe aquatic environment at various locations (i.e., Ridge Road, St. John’s, Foxtrap).

Job Requirements

  • 16 years of age or older
  • Current National Lifeguard Service Award
  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR C
  • Acceptable Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • This position requires the individual to work in an enclosed pool area, and are expected to be physically in the pool during pool time. Exposure to chemicals (chlorine, calcium chloride, etc.) is to be expected.
  • Available to work June 26-September 1 (excluding statutory holidays)
