YMCA 2021-2022 Annual Report
From the Board Chair and the CEO
While COVID-19 had continued impact, 2021/2022 was a year of re-imagining our organization and how we could serve our communities across Newfoundland and Labrador as we emerge from the pandemic.
In our Health, Fitness, and Aquatics locations we focused on helping people be healthy and active by creating new ways to join us.
In Employment, Enterprise, and Newcomer Services our provincial and federal funded programs grew to meet demand.
In Child Care and Day Camp we did the initial work to rapidly expand regulated programs for all ages including as the operator of the province’s Pre-K Pilot Project in 35 communities across the province.
As always, we appreciate our members, participants, families, donors, funders, collaborators, employees, and volunteers for their commitment to the YMCA and building thriving communities in Newfoundland and Labrador.
In 2022/2023 we will re-launch our strategic plan to chart our path into the future.
