Central Labrador YMCA After Day Play
After Day Play is a staff supervised program where school age children participate in recreational activities, games, and play throughout the school year. For this program, various spaces such as the youth room, multi-purpose room, and gymnasium are used. Children may be dropped off by either a parent/guardian or a school bus (parents are responsible for these arrangements). Parents must pack a snack for their child(ren).
Prerequisites:
- Any school aged child from (4yrs 9months to 12yrs).
- The school aged child must have an active YMCA membership that is in good standing.
- Registration is required.
- The Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk must be completed by all parents/guardians.
When:
- After Day Play Program is available from September 6, 2023 to June 20, 2024.
- Default registration is as follows:
- School dismissal (~2:30pm) to 5:15pm Monday-Friday.
- Early school dismissals* (12:00-2:30pm) until 5:15pm.
- *Participants that have continuous enrollment automatically enrolled on school Professional Development/Learning days or special holidays.
- Extended hours** (8:00am-12:00pm) until 5:15pm.
- **Participants that have continuous enrollment automatically enrolled on school Professional Development/Learning days or special holidays.
- Parents can request to opt out on any of these days (early, extended or all day) by emailing the Provincial Registrar at provincialregistrar@nl.ymca.ca.
Due to YMCA recognized holidays, After Day Play will not available on the following dates:
- October 2 & 9, 2023
- November 13, 2023
- December 21, 2023 to January 1, 2024
- March 29, 2024 to April 5, 2024 (stay tuned for Holiday Camp info)

How to register:
- For continuous enrollment (Sept-June), a parent/guardian must pre-register through the YMCA website by clicking REGISTER NOW button below. Once submitted, the Provincial Registrar will process your request and respond to you. Once registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a payment plan showing future scheduled payments that will occur on the 1st and 15th of all months for which your child(ren) has been registered. No payment is due upon registration.
- For single day drop-ins, a parent/guardian can visit the Welcome Desk at the Central Labrador YMCA to register and pay for that day. Payment can be processed by cash, cheque, debit or credit card.
- Editing or cancelling a child’s continuous enrollment: Fourteen days written/email notice is required to withdraw my child/ren from the program. In lieu of notice, fees for 30 days may be charged to my account. If the is an outstanding balance on the account, it must be paid in full before the withdraw of the child(ren) from this program. Please send written notice to provincialregistrar@nl.ymca.ca. When processed, a confirmation will be sent to the parent/guardian.
