Marystown YMCA Program Schedule

NOTE: Any person can create an online profile or view the online portal to see what is being offered. To purchase services or register for an activity/program (e.g. swim lessons), you must have a profile entered online. For all activities/programs, a membership is required. Please use your email address on file with us to access your account by clicking the “forgot your password” link.

Participation and Supervision Guidelines for Child, Youth, Family, and Aquatics Programs


  • Please check in at the Welcome Desk to confirm your attendance.

  • Parents/guardians must enter the facility with children and stay with them in the facility or place them in a staff supervised program. When picking children up from a staff supervised program, parents/guardians must show the child’s membership card to the staff person.

  • Parents/guardians who are accompanying children entering the facility regularly for a program (e.g. swim lessons) must obtain a card from the Welcome Desk to scan.

  • Members are required to book in advance for all group fitness classes, child youth and family (CYF) programs, gymnasium sports, swim lessons and child minding. Booking can be done via the online portal. Members do not need to register for general use of the conditioning centre, track, gymnasium, studio or aquatics centre (including steam room).

  • Any member/day pass user age 12+ years can attend our facility without adult supervision.
  • Lockers are available; please bring a lock to secure your items at all times.


  • A short, warm, soapy shower must be taken before entering the aquatics centre.

  • Children ages 0-6 must be within arm’s reach of an adult (16+) in the water. Non-swimmers 7-11 must be within arm’s reach of an adult (16+) in the water. Swimmers 7-11 must be supervised by an adult (16+) in the water, on deck or in lobby. Maximum of four children per adult. Note: can change at the discretion of the Lifeguard

  • You are not required to register for lane or open swims at this time. Participation will be on a first come, first served basis.

Conditioning Centre Guidelines:

  • Open to users 12 years +
  • Wipe down equipment after each use
  • Return equipment to proper storage area
  • 30 min maximum for cardio equipment
  • Allow others to use equipment while resting
  • Do not drop or bang equipment
  • Appropriate attire required
  • Headphones required when using electronic devices
  • Visit the Welcome Desk if you need assistance, or to report an issue

  • Latest Updates:

    • June 24: The Marystown YMCA, including Employment, Enterprise and Newcomer Services will be closed on June 24 for the June holiday.
  • General Notices:

    • June 2024: Registration for YMCA summer swim lessons is now open. Register today through online portal.
    • May 2024: Child Protection Information
      • For Child Protection, everyone entering through controlled access points at our YMCA must scan/show their membership card, short-term pass bar code or Government-issued photo ID (for ages 16+) with our YMCA staff.
      • Sign-in/out policy: At the beginning of the class/program, participants 11 years old and under must check in with the YMCA staff/volunteer instructor with an adult (16 yrs+). At the end of the class/program, participants 11 years old and under must check out by an adult (16 yrs+).
      • Caregivers who are not required to participate in their child’s class or program can observe from designated areas. Videography and photography are not permitted to ensure our participants’ privacy.
