Financial Assistance
At the YMCA, our doors are open to everyone, regardless of their ability to afford program fees. Our purpose is to help individuals grow in spirit, mind and body through a supportive network, and we work hard to make sure that money is not a barrier for anyone to join the YMCA. Through charitable donations, fundraising and other sources, YMCAs across the country are able to offer financial assistance so that all families and individuals can participate in YMCA programs.
We want to know how we can help you achieve your health and wellness goals. The process is simple. No appointment is necessary. Visit the membership services desk, take a tour, and find out how we can help you get started! Financial assistance is available to families and individuals who are unable to pay full fees. Assistance can be applied to membership, select specialty programming, day camp, and child care.
Health, Fitness and Aquatics Membership
Welcome to the YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador Financially Assisted Membership Program. Our Financially Assisted Membership Program serves those individuals and families who have the greatest need in our community, those individuals that are unable, but not unwilling to pay the full fee. We will make every effort to accommodate all those people who wish to participate in YMCA programs. It is not possible to join the YMCA for free. Everyone must pay some portion of the membership fee. A financial agreement will be worked out that is acceptable to both you and the YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Please complete the application for financial assistance for your location, found below. A YMCA staff member will review your application and follow up with you within 2 business days.
All information provided will be kept confidential. We expect the same confidentiality from you. Financial Assistance requires a commitment to make regular payments and to participate on a regular basis in the program for which assistance was provided.
Day Camp and Regulated Child Care
The YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador is committed to providing day camp and regulated child care experiences for all children and youth, regardless of economic circumstances. The YMCA is able to provide financial assistance to families who are unable, but not unwilling, to pay the full day camp or regulated child care fees.
