The YMCA is so much more than a building: it is a community, your community. Our members come from all over the province, from every walk of life. They are your family, your friends, the people you work with and the people who live around you. Their needs shape everything we do: from the programs we develop to the services we offer.

Did you know that up to one of every four people needs help to participate in a program or service, including child care and camp?

Communities are important to us. As our province grows and changes, so do the needs of our communities. To meet these growing needs, the YMCA must continue to invest in areas where needs are the greatest: quality child care, health and recreation, active living, employment, and community development. Currently, one in four people who come to the YMCA relies on our Financial Assistance Program to participate in a program or service – health, fitness, and aquatics; employment, enterprise, and newcomer services; child care and camp.

The YMCA is always planning for the future. Your generosity is needed to invest in programs and services that are designed to help everyone in your community. That is the very essence of what the YMCA is and why your charitable support is so vital.
