Join Our Team

We are seeking an Aquatics Manager to provide leadership over the pool operation and aquatics programs; is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Aquatics facility including planning, operations; develops a comprehensive year-round aquatics program; and train and coach the Aquatics staff team. This position is located at the Central Labrador YMCA in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Job Requirements

  • Supervisory experience of a large staff team including Team Leads, Deck Leads and Front Line Staff (i.e., scheduling, performance management, etc.)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Previous experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor
  • Current Standard First Aid
  • Current National Lifeguard an asset (for break coverage only)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience and computer skills
  • Flexible to work various shifts. Maintain a work-life balance with our 35-hour work week
  • YMCA Aquatics Trainer certification an asset
  • Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
