Avalon Peninsula Region

YMCA of Newfoundland & Labrador is currently servicing the Avalon Peninsula Region with the Ches Penney Family YMCA facility in St. John’s. The facility is located on 35 Ridge Road, St. John’s.

The Town of Placentia and YMCA have agreed and signed an Operating Agreement. The Town would remain the owner of the facility and the YMCA will operate any aquatics, fitness, exercise, or other programs. The YMCA anticipates hiring up to 20 full time and part time employees in Placentia.
