Join Our Team

We are seeking part time Program Staff to deliver recreational and instructional programs for children, youth and families. This physically demanding job may require you to set up, take down, and clean equipment, lead active programs, and engage a diverse group of people. Programs may include child minding, sports, physical literacy skills and games, and indoor playground. This position is located at the Central Labrador YMCA in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or in progress)
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families
  • Experience in leading active play and programs
  • Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Healthy Child/Youth Development Certificate is an asset
  • NCCP or other coaching certification is an asset
  • Current Standard First Aid and WHMIS
  • Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
