Join Our Team

We are seeking a temporary full-time, contact cook to prepare meals and snacks, keep a clean environment and assist with other duties as needed for our licensed childcare centre. This job requires completing repetitive tasks, ongoing cleaning and sanitization, ordering supplies, and menu/food prep within licensed childcare regulations. This position is for a contract term of December 5 to January 15 and is located at the Central Labrador YMCA in Happy Valley-Goose Bay,

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Over one year experience in cooking for large groups
  • Able to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching and lifting
  • Acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Current Standard First Aid
  • Immunization Records
