Central Labrador YMCA
The Central Labrador YMCA began a phased opening in July 2021 and the ribbon cutting ceremony to officially mark the facility open was held in September 2021. The building is owned by the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and is operated by the YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador. This wellness centre includes a health and wellness area, an indoor walking track, a child care centre with up to 60 spaces, and a competition-sized swimming pool.
The project to build this facility was supported by the provincial and federal governments and many other major donors who contributed to the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay’s Strengthening Our Communities Campaign.
