Join Our Team
We are seeking a Manager, Technology who will be responsible for managing the development, delivery and support of business applications and website services for the YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador. Ensuring appropriate documentation, development, testing and training is implemented within the association. This person would also be responsible for network and infrastructure support through staff management, recruitment, and planning activities to ensure the professional delivery of network services. This position also provides support to ensure consistent focus on network security and systems service and application delivery and availability, while demonstrating leadership and working in a team environment to ensure work priorities and timelines are met and service delivery levels are effective. This position is remote/hybrid in St. John’s.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field
- Combined extensive and progressive IT experience
- Experience in a leadership role with project management focus
- Ten (10) years’ experience managing IT teams delivering information systems support, network infrastructure support and related service delivery
- Ten (10) years’ experience managing IT teams in an application support/development environment
- Knowledge of information technology and industry best practices including operating systems (Windows-based environment), WAN infrastructure-telecommunications, LAN administration and configuration, disaster recovery, wireless technologies, cloud-based solutions, VMWare environments, Help Desk management, desktop support, and related security
- Knowledge of industry best practices for application development and management
- Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
