Program Coordinator, Newcomer Support and Business Development – Full Time, Salaried Position– Remote/Hybrid, Central Labrador

Join Our Team
We are seeking a Newcomer Support and Business Development, Program Coordinator to provide customized entrepreneurial workshops to participants, focusing on business development and skill-building, as well as delivering newcomer community programming. This role involves delivering various program activities and workshops to entrepreneurs and newcomers in the Labrador region. The Coordinator will be responsible to build and maintain local relationships with organizations and stakeholders to support newcomers and entrepreneurs, ensuring their access to vital resources. Through the delivery of high-quality services, the Coordinator will foster personal and professional development for participants. The Program Coordinator will need to possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle, as travel will be required. This is a remote/hybrid, contract position with province wide responsibility that is based out of Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the Central Labrador YMCA with an expected end date of May 31, 2025.
Job Requirements
- College Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Business, Education, Social Sciences, or related fields
- Minimum one years’ experience in 1 or more of the following: working in a business advisory/entrepreneurial support role and/or developing, delivering and evaluating workshops to participants
- Knowledge of community, private, and government resources available to both entrepreneurs and newcomers
- Experience working with cultural groups, high needs and marginalized populations
- Superior facilitation skills with understanding of principles of learning and positive development for both youth and adult newcomer
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle
- Standard First Aid Certification
- Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
