Join Our Team

We are seeking a Quality, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (QIDEA) Coordinator who will coordinate initiatives and professional learning within the regulated early learning and child care services. This person would be working with staff and administrators to support equitable access to quality and inclusive programming for children and families. Working in collaboration with the Department of Education staff to implement strategies focused on early learning and child and family well-being. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension and is located in St. John’s at the Ches Penney Family YMCA. Travel within the Metro Region may be required.

Job Requirements

  • Two (2) year post-secondary education in Psychology, or Early Childhood Education, or Education. Specialization in a field related to working with children and families is considered an asset
  • Specialization in and experience with working with children and families experiencing challenges with meaningful participation in an early learning setting
  • Strong understanding of QIDEA principles and their application within early childhood settings
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
  • Current and valid Standard First Aid
  • Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
