    Programming Notice for Hardwood Courts

    The hardwood courts will be unavailable for general bookings on the following days due to scheduled Squash and Handball tournaments:

    • March 27 & 28 from 5:00pm to close for Squash tournament
    • April 2, 3, & 4 from 3:00pm to close for Handball tournament
    • April 5 from 9:00am-4:00pm for Handball tournament
    Studio Availability

    Due to a YMCA Personal Training Course taking place over the next three weekends, the Bob Thorburn Studio (BTS) will not be available:

    • Saturday, March 29th from 12:30-4:00pm
    • Saturday, April 5th from 12:30-4:00pm
    • Saturday, April 12th from 12:30-4:00pm
    Aquatics Programming Update

    Due to an aquatic workshop taking place, please note the reduced hours in Aquatics Centre:

    • Friday, April 4th: 7:30 pm-8:30 pm (main pool only closed to public)
    • Saturday, April 5th: 3:00 pm-7:30 pm (fully closed to public)
    Upcoming Maintenance

    Please be advised that we will be completing high dusting on April 5, 6, 13, 18, 19, and 20. This dusting will take place from 8:00pm to 1:00am. YMCA programs and services will proceed as scheduled.

    My Y App Update

    The family membership barcode function is now available on the My Y App. When a member opens the app, they will now see and have access to all family members on their YMCA online profile.

    What does this mean?
    With this feature, members can not only scan themselves in, but now all other family members when entering their YMCA branch. This eliminates the need of all family members:

    • having to log in to the app separately to access their membership barcode
    • needing a physical scan card

    With this feature, one member on the family profile can register other family YMCA members for any activity. Examples include registering your child for Child Minding, or registering you and your partner/spouse for a game of Pickleball.

    In addition to the family barcode feature, the My Y app is designed to give YMCA members instant access to view and register for any single day activity that is available, view branch hours and receive notifications on their favorite classes.     Programs that either have a set roster of participants for a defined period of time (ex. Karate) or charge a fee such a private swim lessons, day camps, and courses continue to be available through our online portal at Online Portals – YMCA Newfoundland & Labrador.

Labrador Region & Central Labrador YMCA Updates

    Aquatics Programming Update:
    Week of Monday, March 31 – Friday, April 4

    The Aquatics Centre at Central Labrador YMCA will be open from 6am-8am, closed from 8am-4pm and will reopen for regular evening schedule and programming from 4pm-8:15pm. Weekend hours remain unaffected and are open as regularly scheduled.

    Group Fitness Programming Update

    Yoga will now be offered from 9:30am-10:30am every Sunday morning. Be sure to register on the My Y Canada App.
