Youth Leadership – Healthy Relationships

Delivered in partnership with The Students Commission of Canada, Be the Program Phase II (BTP) is the newest youth leadership opportunity for the YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador.

BTP is an evidence-based program that leverages the power of youth influence to improve relationship health and reduce teen dating violence (TDV). This program supports youth to better understand relationships, identify root causes of violence, and take leadership in supporting their peers to think critically and make decisions that lead to healthier relationships.

Why Participate?

  • Co-design custom programming to prevent TDV in your community

  • Develop skills such as leadership, facilitation, research and design skills

  • Gain valuable volunteer hours, applicable to high school career hours, graduation, Duke of Edinburgh, etc.

YMCA Be The Program (BTP) eligibility:

  • Youth ages 14 – 24 years

  • Please note that spaces are very limited*
