Placentia Regional YMCA Birthday Parties and Facility Rentals

The Placentia Regional YMCA has facilities that can accommodate meetings, conferences, and other social events for for different group sizes.

Businesses/organizations with a HST number and legal company name will need to do the following to rent YMCA spaces:

  • Sign rental agreement
  • Provide insurance certificate (list the YMCA as an additional insured)
  • Complete online participant waivers
  • No refund for unused time in rental. Rentals cannot be extended without prior agreement.

Individuals or groups (not a registered business/organization) will be required to complete an online waiver form for each participant. No rental agreement or insurance certificate is required. No refund for unused time in rental. Rentals cannot be extended without prior agreement.

Additional Information

Groups need to book at least 15 days in advance. Payment is due upon rental registration. Payment methods are VISA, MC, AMEX, cheque or cash. A digital Rental agreement will be signed by both parties.

If a renter cannot attend due to extenuating circumstances such as illness etc. the YMCA will provide a credit to the payer for future use (no expiry). A credit can be used/transferred for any fee for service product the YMCA offers. (E.g., A credit from a rental can be used towards day camp or private swim lessons.) Refunds will be considered upon request. If the YMCA needs to close due to extreme weather or maintenance the payer will receive a credit (or refund upon request).

All refunds will be provided by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). The Centre Manager/General Manager will forward an EFT form for you to complete. A refund cannot be processed until all of the above information is received. If there are delays in the provision of the information, the refund will be delayed. We do not refund to the original method of payment.

All groups are to provide a minimum of 2 weeks written notice (email) to cancel a booking. A cancellation fee of $25 per booking will be applied at the time of cancellation. Email pry@nl.ymca.ca.

Events requiring a permit will be considered on an individual basis.

Note:

  • Some spaces may be shared with YMCA members
  • Set up, take down and cleaning services included
  • Minimum of a 2-hour rental
  • Specify at time of booking if child or adult tables/chairs are needed. The YMCA has limited inventory. Additional tables and chairs would be at the cost of the renter
  • Charitable discounts of 10% with validation of CRA # or Incorporation # are available

Birthday Parties

Register for a Pool Birthday Rental. Rentals include 1-hour access to the play pool and 1/2 of main pool, followed by 1- hour in a multi-purpose room. Book your Birthday Rental today!
