Join Our Team

Reporting to the Centre Manager, Recreation Staff are an integral part of the YMCA team, responsible for high-quality services and programs that support member experience, health and wellness, and community engagement. This multi-functional role includes responsibilities across membership service and sales, housekeeping, child and family recreation, group fitness, and health and wellness support. This position is located at the Bonavista YMCA.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or currently completing); post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Previous customer service and/or recreation program expereince
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing duties and tasks in multiple areas
  • Able to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and moderate lifting
  • Available to work flexible shifts, including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Current Standard First Aid
  • Acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
