Join Our Team
We are seeking a Program Coordinator to support and lead the Youth Education Supports Program (YESP). You will be responsible for empowering students in Grades 11-12 as well as students in their first year of post-secondary to reach their full education potential. This program is designed to support students with a full range of services that help close educational gaps and remove barriers to accessing and succeeding in learning. You will be delivering, and facilitating educational webinars and various workshops both online and in person to participants. Collaboration with schools, community agencies and other organizations is required to maximize services and resources to participants. This is a Hybrid/Remote contract position based out of St. John’s at the Ches Penney Family YMCA with an expected end date of March 30, 2027.
Job Requirements
- Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Child and Youth Care Counselling, Education, Social Work, Recreation Management or related field
- Experience working directly with vulnerable youth
- Experience in client intake and assessment, case management and workshop facilitation
- Experience working with diverse population
- Valid Newfoundland Drivers license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to travel both in and out of Province
- Standard First Aid and CPR
- Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
